The safety requirements for operation of the Siemens Magnetom Trio are governed by State and Federal guidelines. All persons wishing to gain unaccompanied access to the scanner must first complete the mandatory safety training.

Generally this safety training is meant to not only ensure that persons are proficient in the safe use of the MRI system but also that they be thoroughly familiar with the appropriate actions to take in the event of an emergency.
