McCausland Center is a secure, swipe-access-only facility located on the second floor of the Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital. (For a map of the Palmetto Richland campus click here. )
If you do not already have PHRMH credentials, you must first obtain an identification badge with a “McCausland Center” designation to gain unaccompanied access to the 3T MRI suite. To do this you must:
  1. Complete your "flying license" so that you can operate the scanner
  2. The Safety Coordinator will then inform PHRMH Security
  3. Go to PHRMH Security with your current SC Driver’s license or ID

You may not scan at McCausland Center without current PHRMH credentials!

The Palmetto Health i/d card acts as a key card only for those who have been licensed to fly. If you choose to employ a research assistant to do the flying, they will have to let you into the facility, and you must follow their instructions and advice at all times that you are in the McCausland Center.
