All persons using the McCausland Center facilities must obtain Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval for their project(s). Informed consent guidelines are available here. Unless any of the following apply, use USC’s IRB

1. Current patients of Palmetto Health
2. Clinical records of past Palmetto Health patients
3. Employees of Palmetto health
4. Procedures only legal because of Palmetto Healthl privileges

If any of the above conditions apply, then Palmetto Richland’s IRB should be used.
